100% Made in Italy is not a fibre-composition statement

Look at what the percentage refers to

Some Italian product descriptions use wording such as 100% Made in Italy alongside a separate material statement. The manufacturing wording describes origin; it does not say that the garment is made from a fibre called Italy or that every listed material is present at 100%.

Read both statements on the EGi bodysuit

The women’s long-sleeve EGi bodysuit is made in Italy by Maglificio Ma.Re and declares 95% viscose with 5% elastane. The Italian origin and the mixed composition can both be true. Do not remove the elastane from the description because an origin statement contains the number 100.

A cotton example with a different percentage

MaRe 3261 states 100% Mako cotton for its material and Italian manufacture for its origin. Here the material percentage belongs to cotton. That does not imply every other MaRe or EGi garment is also cotton at 100%; the percentage must be read with the words it qualifies.

Use accurate wording in your purchase notes
