Organic cotton is one of the foundations of the TITTIMITTI® collection.

These descriptions are not interchangeable. A 100% organic-cotton sock has a different construction from a 98% organic-cotton sock containing 2% elastane.
100% Cotton
Selected TITTIMITTI® socks use cotton as the entire declared composition of the knitted sock fabric.
For applicable products, a tiny natural-rubber thread wrapped completely in cotton may be used inside the cuff to help the sock stay in position. This supporting cuff thread is not blended throughout the knitted sock fabric.
Customers specifically avoiding polyester, nylon, acrylic or elastane should verify the complete composition on the applicable product page.
Undyed and Unbleached Organic Cotton
Selected women’s, men’s and children’s socks are made from 100% organic combed cotton in its naturally warm cream or ecru color.

Undyed means no textile color was added to create the finished shade.

Unbleached means the cotton was not conventionally whitened to create a bright optical-white appearance.

Organic describes the cotton and its applicable production documentation.

100% organic cotton describes the composition of the knitted sock fabric.
Natural shade variation is normal.

Combed Cotton
Combing removes shorter fibers and helps align the remaining cotton fibers, producing a smoother and more consistent yarn.
Combed cotton describes fiber preparation. It does not automatically mean the cotton is organic, undyed, unbleached or mercerized. Those characteristics must be identified separately.
Mercerized Cotton and Filo di Scozia
Mercerization is a specialized textile process that changes characteristics of cotton including smoothness, strength, regularity, luster and dye affinity.
Fine mercerized cotton is particularly suited to lightweight dress, business and trouser socks.

Merino Wool
Merino wool is used in selected socks, layers and cold-weather products.
It can provide warmth, temperature regulation and moisture management without requiring an excessively bulky construction.
TITTIMITTI® offers different Merino-based compositions. Some contain natural silk, while others use a supporting synthetic fiber for durability, stretch or shape retention. Always compare the exact percentages.
Silk
Natural silk is used in selected fine socks, hosiery and layers, often together with Merino wool.
Silk can contribute smoothness and a lighter, more refined feel. A wool-and-silk blend should be evaluated according to the percentage of each fiber shown on the product page.
Cashmere
Selected TITTIMITTI® socks and winter accessories use cashmere for lightweight warmth and softness.
Some products are made from 100% cashmere, while others may contain cashmere as part of a blend. We state the exact composition so customers can distinguish pure cashmere from a cashmere blend.
Virgin Wool
Virgin wool is used in selected socks, gloves, mittens and winter accessories.
A product described as virgin wool may still contain another functional fiber or material, such as elastane, polyamide or leather trim. Check the complete product-specific composition.
Alpaca and Wool Blends
Selected winter socks combine alpaca and wool with a supporting fiber to balance warmth, structure and durability.
These products are clearly described as blends and should not be interpreted as 100% alpaca or 100% wool.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are all TITTIMITTI® products made only from natural fibers?
No. Some products use 100% natural fiber, while others include elastane, polyamide, acrylic, polyester or another functional fiber for stretch, durability, structure or recovery. Exact percentages are disclosed on each product page.
Are all TITTIMITTI® products organic?
No. Organic cotton is used in applicable products. Wool, silk, cashmere, alpaca and conventional cotton products should not be described as organic unless specifically supported.
Are all products made in Italy?
No. Many socks and hosiery products are made in Italy, while selected items are made by specialized manufacturers in Turkey, Sri Lanka or other disclosed locations.
Are all cotton socks 100% cotton?
No. The assortment includes both 100% cotton constructions and high-cotton-content blends such as 98% organic cotton with 2% elastane.
Does “natural fiber” mean there are no synthetic fibers?
Not automatically. A product may be categorized by its principal natural fiber while containing another functional fiber. Always check the exact composition.
Are all cream-colored socks undyed?
No. Only products specifically identified as undyed should be understood as having no added textile color.
Is TITTIMITTI® GOTS certified?
TITTIMITTI® does not claim brand-wide GOTS certification. Applicable documentation supports specific organic-cotton yarns, transactions and supply-chain stages.
How should I choose the correct size?
Use the size information shown on the product page. For children, current footwear size is generally more reliable than age alone. For thick socks, make sure the footwear has sufficient room.
How should natural-fiber products be washed?
Follow the individual care label. Cold or cool washing and air drying are generally the most protective options for cotton, wool, silk, cashmere and alpaca products.
