How to Choose and Layer EGi Modal & Cashmere Tops

A layering top works best when its neckline and sleeves fit the clothes you already wear. EGi’s Italian modal/cashmere collection offers five shapes in a declared blend of 85% modal, 9% cashmere and 6% elastane.

Start with your outer neckline

For an open shirt or lower neckline, compare the camisole 5209 and tank 5219. For a higher neckline visible under a jacket or cardigan, consider the mock-neck styles 5239 and 5249. Check product photos to decide whether you want the base layer to show.

Choose sleeves for how you dress

The camisole, tank and sleeveless mock neck avoid adding another sleeve beneath your outfit. The scoop-neck 5229 and mock-neck 5249 offer long sleeves when you prefer arm coverage. The choice depends on your outer clothing and personal comfort.

Understand the blend before buying

These are modal-rich tops containing cashmere and elastane. They are different from EGi’s wool/silk and MicroWool ranges. Compare exact fiber percentages rather than treating all winter layering fabrics as interchangeable.

Allow for your preferred fit

Many EGi styles run small in our selling experience. If you are between sizes or prefer a looser fit, choose the next offered size up, while following the individual product’s guidance. Check available colors and sizes before selecting a style.

Read the EGi modal/cashmere collection guide and compare all five styles, or shop the collection.
