Choosing an EGi Men’s Wool/Silk Base Layer: Sleeveless or Short Sleeves

A wool/silk undershirt can be a simple first layer beneath your everyday clothes. In EGi’s men’s wool/silk collection, both available shapes use 85% wool / 15% silk, so the main choice is sleeve coverage and fit.

Sleeveless: fewer layers around the arms

The 455 sleeveless shirt is a muscle-tank shape. Choose it when you want torso coverage without adding another sleeve beneath your shirt.

Short sleeves: more coverage

The 456 T-shirt adds upper-arm coverage. Compare its neckline and sleeve length in the photographs with the shirt or sweater you will wear over it.

Allow for the slim fit

Both listings describe a slim fit and recommend going up a size if you prefer a more relaxed feel. Use each product’s offered sizes and fit guidance. Tubular knit removes side seams, but does not determine which size will suit you.

Check the color

The T-shirt’s Bianco option is described as natural unbleached wool with yellow tones. Choose it with that natural shade in mind rather than expecting bright white.
